A community resource fair dedicated to supporting Riverside County residents experiencing mental health challenges — along with the families and friends who care for them — will take place next Thursday in Riverside.

The “Art of Wellness” event is part of Riverside County’s Mental Health Month observance held each May to promote awareness, healing, and access to support services.

“Strong communities are built when people feel supported and know where to turn for help,” said Board of Supervisors Chair Karen Spiegel. “Events like ‘Art of Wellness’ bring valuable resources directly into our neighborhoods and help connect residents and families with the care and support they need.”

The free four-hour event begins at 11:30 a.m. on May 14 at Fairmount Park, located at 2601 Fairmount Blvd. in Riverside.

Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with county health representatives, social service agencies, and nonprofit organizations offering information, guidance, and one-on-one support for behavioral health services, housing assistance, and financial resources.

“Behavioral health is a vital part of overall well-being,” said Director of Behavioral Health Dr. Matthew Chang. “‘Art of Wellness’ provides a welcoming environment where individuals can explore available services, ask questions, and take positive steps toward healing, recovery, and wellness.”
